Description
Axone 5 with TXBE Interface and Handheld Touchscreen Wireless Tablet
Virtually all new bikes come fitted with fuel injection with one or several ECUs which need accessing for general service work. A diagnostic tool is now an essential service tool. Many bikes’ electronics systems include complex CANBUS networks which integrate individual electronic systems – ABS, fuel-injection, electronic suspension, tyre pressure monitor, instrumentation, immobiliser, MSC, traction control can all have individual ECUs – even scooter manufacturers use CAN systems now. Although motorcycle manufacturers offer specific diagnostic tools for their own dealer networks, working on part-exchanged and used bikes requires a more affordable and universal alternative. Otherwise you would need a different electronic tool for every make of bike you service. Texa currently provide the most comprehensive motorcycle coverage available from any other supplier in the world today. Regular updates (by optional subscription service) ensure that you will always have the latest coverage available.
The Axone 5 uses IDC5A software with a bluetooth connection to a TXBE which is connected to the bike using the required interface cable. With the Axone 5 it is possible to read and erase error messages, check system parameters, reset service warning lights, adjust fuelling, perform active tests and much more. The software includes additional features like wiring diagrams and video information showing diagnostic connector locations and TEXA’s Global Scan – a hugely useful function that scans all diagnosable ECUs on the bike in one operation.
A further feature of the IDC5 Premium software is the ability to store diagnostic information from vehicle tests including data from road tests using the TXBE. This enables the operator to recall the bike’s data, previous service information and test results at a later date thus saving valuable technician time. Bluetooth connectivity allows the Axone 5 to act as an interface with other Texa tools like the 4-channel oscilloscope and gas analyser. Updating is fully automatic – the Axone 5 is equipped with WiFi network connectivity. In this way, the Axone 5 can check every night for available updates via the internet (a WiFi router and internet connection is required).
Axone 5 is built to withstand a workshop environment. The resilient shockproof housing is built to military standard 810F and is IP42 rated.
The touch-sensitive 9.7 inch screen is designed for workshop use – it is tough, high-resolution and anti-glare for optimum visibility, with a high resolution of 2048×1536. A lithium-ion battery ensures long-lasting power between charges and the Cortex A8 processor is amazingly fast.
If you already have an older Texa tool like an Axone 2000, upgrading is viable as most cables are interchangeable – we can supply the Axone 5 with or without the cables if you already have them.
An optional (but recommended) annual subscription service (TexPack) is available to provide new model coverage and new features as they are introduced. Cables are available as kits or individually so you can just purchase the ones you need. Coverage for Texa motorcycle systems is unrivalled – the software features more motorcycle manufacturers and models than any other system and is continually updated with new models and cables Call for further details or to arrange a demonstration at your premises.
