Ross-Tech® HEX-V2® – The new VCDS diagnostic tool interface (USB) for VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda vehicles!
The further development of the previous USB interface technology. Now new, also available in two inexpensive “limited” versions!
Here on offer is the version without a VIN limit*.
Scope of application:
- Diagnostic tool for VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda and Bentley vehicles from around 1992 up to the current models including VW Crafter I + II. Initial support for the latest MY 2023 models is already available.
- Can also be used for youngtimers such as the Golf III VR6 or Polo G40 or for Linde forklifts with VW TDI industrial engines and boats with VW TDI marine engines via an optionally available adapter

Difference hobby / professional version:
Hobby or enthusiast version (limit of 3) SW80312 or (limit of 10) SW80313
This allows service functions to be carried out on 3 vehicles with 3 different VIN (chassis identification numbers). From the 4th vehicle, only the basic functions are available. Furthermore, models whose VIN numbers cannot be read or older models before 2001 are not affected. Suitable for private hobbyists.
Professional or Pro version (no limit) on offer here
No limit, no restrictions, suitable for professional users such as free and contractual workshops, authorities and schools.
After the limit has been reached, the following functions are blocked: Adaptations, basic settings, coding, adapt gateway list, login or access authorization, actuator diagnosis, optical bus diagnosis, ring break diagnosis, service reset, transport mode.
Online registration with the manufacturer is required for permanent operation.

HEX-V2 Functions & Features:
- Fully compatible with almost of VW, Audi, Seat and Skod models through the current
model year, including models using a direct CAN connection for diagnostics.
- Can use the new 7-Digit PIN/SKC codes to match new keys in almost immobilizer
equipped VW/Audi/Seat/Skod models.
- Can access almost control modules which require proprietary VAG modes running
the KWP-2000 protocols (2001+ Teves Mk.60 ABS, numerous 2002+ modules), KWP6000
(CAN) and/or KWP7000 (UDS).
- Completely revised and expanded ROD (ODX) Data. Including coverage for almost
the latest models of cars such as the new 4G-chassis Audi A6. The structure of
our ROD data has also been revised to eliminate much redundancy and keep the
installer size reasonable.
- Support for new UDS addresses required for compatibility with new systems
found in latest car models.Auto-Scans now show sub-system label file names.
- EDC15-16 Mileage reading now includes support for some EDC15 V6 TDI ECUs.
- Revised and expanded Label Files More than 350 new or revised files since the
last data-set.
